Kogi Poly announces ND admission into new programmes, 2023/2024

 This is to inform all candidates that the following programmes have been introduced in Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja and registration for the 2023/2024 Post UTME screening is now open for the following courses: -

1. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

National Diploma in:

ND Agricultural & Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology

ND Horticultural Technology

ND Mechatronic Engineering Technology

ND Computer Engineering Technology

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

ND Agricultural & Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology

Candidates must obtain the minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have Five credit level passes in GCE "O" level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science or Chemistry and any other subject.

b. ND Horticultural Technology

Candidates must obtain the minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have Five credit level passes in GCE "O" level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science or Chemistry and any other subject.

c. ND Mechatronic Engineering Technology

Candidates must obtain the minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have five (5) passes at credit level in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and a science subject (i.e., Biology, Agricultural Science, Metal Work, Auto-mechanics, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Technical Drawing)

d. ND Computer Engineering Technology

Candidates must obtain the minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have five credit passes at not more than two sittings. The relevant subjects are: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one other subject from: Metal Work, Woodwork, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Geography and Biology or Agricultural Science.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Eligible candidates should visit our website at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng after completing the payment of a non-refundable registration fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00), applicants will gain access to the online application forms. Instructions on how to make the payment and fill out the Post UTME form can be found on the website.

We strongly advise all candidates to accurately upload their O'level results on both the JAMB and the school portal.

CAMPUS NEWS KASU to begin engineering, law programmes soon – VC

 CAMPUS NEWS

The Kaduna State University, KASU, is hastening up to commence the study of Law and Engineering, prompting the Vice Chancellor (VC) and his team to inspect the ongoing projects at the institution’s permanent site.

The KASU permanent site is located at Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

Addressing newsmen on Thursday in Kaduna after the inspection of work at the Faculty of Law and Engineering at the permanent site, the VC, Prof. Abdullahi Musa, expressed satisfaction with the pace of the projects.

Mr Musa said with the pace of work on the projects, in six months time they would invite the relevant professional bodies, particularly the Nigerian Universities Commission, NUC, for resource verification to begin Law programme in the institution.

He also said that the university would invite NUC and the Nigerian Council for Regulation of Engineering to assess their resources and facilities, to kick start Engineering programmes in KASU.

The VC noted that the education faculty was also in progress, while being optimistic that they would relocate to the permanent site fully in 2024.

He thanked Sen. Uba Sani the Governor of the State for securing funding of the Engineering faculty from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)

He also thanked other funders of the project, including the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, for their support to ensure realization of the institution’s permanent site.

Also, Prof Nasirudeen Usman, the Consultant for establishment of Law programme in the institution, said law was being guided by the NUC and Council for Legal Education.

He explained that both bodies had their requirements on what is needed for establishment of law programmes.

Mr Usman noted that he was there, as it’s consultant, to see the physical facilities in the ongoing project and to ensure they complied with the requirements of the two bodies.

He, therefore, said the projects were on a good stand to begin a viable law programme.

“I have been to many academic institutions in Nigeria, the ongoing KASU faculty of law is one of the best you can find in the country.

LASUSTECH re-schedules state of origin verification exercise

 The State of Origin Verification Exercise slated for 1st to 10th August is now reschedule to take place between 15th and 24th of August 2023. 

The SOVE Verification Interview will now run as follows:

i. Tuesday, 15th August to Thursday, 17th August 2023 

ii. Tuesday, 22nd August to Thursday, 24th August 2023

All applicants are advice to do a reprint of their data form on the portal to know the date schedule for them.

Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) Releases Remedial Admission Form 2023/2024

This is to inform students and the general public that Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) Releases Remedial Admission Form 2023/2024.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Nigerian Army University, Biu (NAUB) one-year Remedial Arts and Science programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.

NAUB Remedial Admission Requirements

To gain Admission into the NAUB Remedial programmes, candidates must have obtained at least five (5) credits in O-levels including Mathematics and English in WAEC / NECO / NABTED or its equivalents in not more than (2) sittings.

How to Apply for Nigerian Army University Remedial Admission Form

Click on APPLY FOR REMEDIAL.

Create a User Account (New users only).

Select your programme type

Select your first and second choices of 3 subject combination each.

Click “Pay Now” button to make your payment of N5000

Select your ATM Card type (e.g Master, Visa or Verve Card) (Select Nigerian Card Only) and click “Make Payment”.

Only candidates whose payment has been successful will be redirected to fill the form.

Click on “CONTINUE FILLING FORM”

Scan and upload original copies of your O’level Credentials: recent passport photograph.

Make sure to submit your application when completed. (NOTE that you cannot edit your application after submission)

These exercises must be completed.

COOU admission form for 2023/2024 session

The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University hereby invites candidates who made the University their First Choice Institution the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 200 for Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology and Pharmaceutical Sciences and 150 for the other Courses to apply for the 2023 Post UTME screening exercise.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

A. Eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, through the REMITA platform at any Commercial Bank. 

B. The online registration commences on Tuesday, 1st August, 2023. The University Portal will remain open until one week after the release of the 2023 NECO results.

C. Post-UTME Registration Process:

i. Click on portal.coou.edu.ng

ii. Click Prospective Students

iii. Select 'Generate 2023/2024 PUTME Invoice' 

iv. Enter JAMB Registration Number

v. Click on 'Sign in to generate an invoice.

vi. Proceed to any bank for payment or pay using your ATM Card. 

vii. Return to the portal

viii. Re-enter JAMB Registration Number, Click on 'Apply Here' 

ix. Complete the Date of Birth and all other blank fields.

x. Upload your O'level Result(s) to JAMB CAPS, using CBT centres, not ordinary business centres.

xi. Upload the following (Ensure that their sizes are not above 50KB):

• Jamb Result Slip
• O'level 1
• O'level 2 (for those with two Certificates)

xii. Review the Summary Page and check that all details entered are correct 

xiii. Check the CONFIRMATION BOX below

xiv. Click SUBMIT

xv. Print Acknowledgement Slip

D. Direct Entry Candidates for 2023/2024 who made Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University their first choice institution should also register for the screening using the drop down on the prospective student panel (2023/2024 direct entry application)

GOMSU debunks fake news on summer semester

 The attention of the University Management has been drawn to a circulating document claiming to be an official circular from the Academic Office, asking students to make a payment of twenty five thousand naira (N25,000.00) for a summer semester.

This is to categorically declare that no such circular has been issued by the University.

The University authorities are not planning to run summer semester nor has it requested any payment from students for such a programme.

Students are advised to disregard the information as fake and fraudulent and always rely on the University's communication channels for information.
