Taraba State College of Nursing & Midwifery ND Nursing Admission, 2024/2025

 This is to inform the general public that the Taraba State College of Nursing Sciences and Midwifery UTME Online Screening for National Diploma in Nursing Programme for the 2024/2025 Academic Session is commences Monday, 12th August to Thursday, 12th September, 2024.




ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 

Taraba State College of Nursing & Midwifery ND Nursing Admission, 2024/2025

• Must be 16 - 35 years of age at the time of Application. 

• Obtain at least 5 Credits in their O'Level result - WAEC, NECO or NABTEB which must include Mathemtics, English Language, Biology, Physics and Chemistry obtainable in not more than two sittings. 




• Candidates must Score at least 160 and above in the 2024 UTME. 

• Candidates must have chosen the College as their First Choice in the 2024 UTME. 

Note: NABTEB can only be combined with NABTEB.

MODE OF APPLICATION

• Visit the College website via http://tarabascnm.edu.ng/portal/application

• Create an account on the college portal

• Use your username and password to log in

• Make payment for the application form via ATM CARD

• Fill the form carefully and submit online (only use scratch card that has not been used more than three(3) times)

• PRINT YOUR PAYMENT SLIP (evidence of payment), application form and acknowledgement letter. 

• Candidates are to pay the sum of N10,000 only (Non-refundable).

A. Candidate are to came along with original & photocopies of printed documents, UTME slip, testimonial of last secondary school attended. scratch card and all other relevant documents during the physical verification exercise please. 

B. Physical Verification is scheduled for Thursday 12th September, 2024.

WAEC 2024 May/June SSCE results out - See checking instructions and performance statistics

 The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates, 2024. this was made known by the Head of the Nigeria Office, WAEC, Dr Amos Dangut.

According to the WAEC boss, out of 1,805, 216 that entered for the exam, 1,332, 089 candidates have credits in five subjects including any subjects with either Mathematics or English language and 1,301, 949 candidates got credits in five subjects including Mathematics and English language accounting for 72.9% of total candidates.

This performance shows a 7.6 per cent decrease in examination performance compared to last year of 2023 WASSCE.

The results of 215, 267 results were withheld due to examination malpractice by the candidates. This accounts for 11.92% of the total number of candidates who wrote the examination.


Candidates who sat the examination should follow the procedure below to check their results;

  • Select Examination year as 2024
  • Select Examination type as SCHOOL CANDIDATES RESULT
  • Enter your PIN and serial number
  • Then click on submit to view your results

JAMB releases 2024 supplementary UTME results

 The results of all candidates that participated in the supplementary/mop-up exam which was held on June 21st and 22nd have been released. Candidates who took part in the supplementary exam can check their results. 




To check your result, simply send "UTMERESULT" as an SMS from the phone number used for JAMB registration to 55019 or 66019. You are required to have a least N50 airtime credit balance. Let us know in the comment section once you are able to check yours.

University of Abuja Appoints Acting VC

 Renowned professor of International Law, and deputy vice-chancellor, academic, University of Abuja, Aisha Sani Maikudi, has been appointed acting vice-chancellor of the University by the Senate.  Her appointment was announced following her nomination at the valedictory Senate meeting held yesterday (Wednesday 26th June 2024) on the Main campus.

According to the vice-chancellor, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, Maikudi’s appointment was in a “temporary capacity effective after the tenure of the current vice-chancellor, pending the ratification by the Governing Council.” 

Na’Allah rounds off his tenure on 30th June 2024 after a five-year impactful and transformational leadership at the University.

n her acceptance speech, Maikudi expressed gratitude to members of the Senate for the confidence reposed in her. She said, "I want to extend my deepest respect and appreciation to you all for the strong support and unwavering commitment that you have accorded me."

Profile 

Professor AISHA SANI MAIKUDi was born on 31st January 1983, the youngest female professor of Law in the Northwestern Nigeria and the University of Abuja.

She attended Queens College, Lagos where she obtained her West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

She proceeded to the University of Reading, graduating with LLB in 2004 and LLM from the London School of Economics & Political Science in 2005; and later bagged a PhD in International Law in 2015 from the University of Abuja.

Maikudi joined the service of the University of Abuja on 4th September 2008 as Lecturer II and rose to the rank of professor in 2022.

She became the first female Deputy Dean, at the University’s Faculty of Law, in 2018; and later, the pioneer director, University of Abuja International Centre in 2019.

Maikudi has attended several National and International conferences in the UK, US, South Africa, Germany, Italy, and Egypt, etc as well as conducted several research on United Nations Law and has written extensively in the area. 

She is a member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Nigerian Law Teachers Association (NLTA), and International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA).
